The Vibrant Heart of Trancoso
The Quadrado is the historic center and heart of the town. A place that proudly preserves its original architecture and atmosphere, transporting visitors back in time. Surrounding the square, connected by a dirt path, are the famous colorful colonial houses, once the homes of fishermen, now converted into bars, restaurants, and shops. Completing the scene, on one side of the Quadrado is the iconic São João Batista church and a small soccer field.
